A fantasy author on a quest
Born in the South with a healthy streak of wanderlust, Maggie Rapier is an incurable romantic who loves nothing more than wordplay and witchcraft—except, perhaps, her sourdough starter.
When she’s not writing about moody girls and sexy pirates, you can find her wandering in the woods with her partner, and a basket in hand.

3 Annotated Chapters + Annotated Playlist!
When I was growing up, I’d spend hours googling my favorite authors, bookmarking articles they’d written or interviews they’d done. Any time there was a bonus scene, or more insight into a favorite couple, I’d cradle it in my hands like treasure and hold my breath so it didn’t blow away.
I’m not saying what I’m offering you now is treasure, but what I am saying is that it’s something I wanted desperately as a budding writer, and a gift I hope will offer intrigue, context, and joy.
Everyone who preorders Soulgazer is eligible to receive:
An annotated playlist
Chapters 1-3, annotated with exclusive author notes & insights
I am so delighted that my editor pitched the first THREE chapters instead of just the one, because they are undeniably the key to setting up Faolan and Saoirse’s whole dynamic—one which you will get to read about soon!

ABOUT THE PRINT
This scene is not the first time Saoirse and Faolan speak, but it IS the first they do it without masks—figurative or literal. It’s the point of no return, when all the cards are laid on the table and a bargain is struck. Importantly, it’s also the very first time Saoirse holds power. Not magic. Power.
But it takes a bit of convincing and needling from Faolan to get her there first, ending on one, crucial line:
“Let me make a legend of you.”
